Hello ARHA members –
As we all know, these past few months have been challenging for all of us. We hope you are all doing well, staying safe and managing the situation.
With last year’s hockey season being abruptly cancelled, we lost the last week of our regular season and our playoff schedule, including banquets and jamborees. ARHA has decided to keep the fees for the 2020-21 hockey season the same as last year to reflect a discount to our members.
With respect to the 2020-21 hockey season, we continue to monitor the situation as outlined by Toronto Public Health and the governing hockey authorities (Hockey Canada, OHF and the GTHL).
At this time, while we are uncertain as to a starting date for our season and the type of program that we will be able to offer our members, league volunteers have been considering various return-to-play scenarios, from skills-based sessions to full games. When the City of Toronto and GTHL announce their Return to Play protocols then ARHA can determine its own protocols, implementation of required procedures and then complete the registration process.
Based on the timing of these announcements and the number of registrants to our league, ARHA will be able to make final decisions about the registration fee, start date, length of season and finalize our divisional structure, including our hockey schedule.
If ARHA is unable to offer a full season of play, we will issue full or applicable refunds to our members. In addition, should our guidelines not provide an environment of safety so that you feel comfortable about participating in our hockey program, we will issue a full refunds to our members.
In order to plan for the upcoming season, we encourage you to register to hold your spot. The fees will be due at a later date (TBD).
We will update our members as information becomes available. In the meantime we hope you stay healthy and enjoy this terrific weather.
